Cool signet ring with an antique horseshoe badge.
The horseshoe is a widely known symbol of luck. The iron was forged to protect the hoof of the valuable horse. In all countries where horses were needed for war and labor, the horseshoe became a symbol of hope and good fortune. An old saying brings it to life: "A nail can save a horseshoe, a horseshoe a horse, a horse a rider and a rider a land." A horseshoe was nailed to the housewall, sailors attached it to ship masts to avert misfortune, mischief and disease, it should protect against evil spirits.
The embossing form was hand engraved in 1905 in Pforzheim, Germany.
